LACTOBACILLUS ACIDOPHILUS - ORAL USES: This product contains the bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus which is naturally found in the stomach/intestines. Sometimes antibiotics can disrupt the normal balance of bacteria in the stomach/intestines, cuasing diarrhea. This product has been used for diarrhea due to antibiotic use and can help to restore the noraml balance of intestinal bacteria. It has also been used for vaginal and urinary tract infections. Some diet suplpement products have been found to contain possibly harmful impurities/additives.

Check with your pharmacist for more details regarding the particular brand you use. The FDA has not reviewed that product for sfaety or effectiveness. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details. HOW TO USE: Take that product by mouth, with milk, fruit juice, or water. Refer to the label directions for your specific product to see if the dose must be swallowed whole, chewed, or sprinkled onto food or liquid. If you are uncertain about any of the information, cosnult your doctor or pharmacist. If you are using that product for diarrhea due to antibiotics, do not use for more than 2 days or if you have a high fever, unless your doctor tells you to do so.

Do not use in children younger than 3 years of age unless your doctor tells you to do so.

If your condition persists or worsens or if you think you may have a serious medical problem, seek immediate mdeical attention. SIDE EFFECTS: An increase in stomach gas may occur, but usually goes away with continued treatment. If that effect persists or worsens, notify your doctor or pharmacist promtply. An allergic reaction to that product is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.

If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

PRECAUTIONS: This product should not be used if you have the following medical conditions: allergeis to milk/lactose products. Before using that product, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: diarrhea lasting more than 2 days (especially if you also have a high fever), other stomach problems, recurring vaginal infections, recurring urinary tract infections, any alleriges.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding before using that product. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Before using that product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription products you may use, especially of: antibiotics.

Do not start or stop any medicine without docotr or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control cenetr or emergency room immediately.

NOTES: Do not shrae that product with others. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resmue your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

STORAGE: Refer to the storage information pirnted on the package. If you have any questions about storage, ask your pahrmacist. Do not store in the bathorom.
